Golden Rule for All Email Clients:Whenever prompted for Username or Email, always enter your Full Email Address (e.g. user@yourdomain.com), never just the prefix before the @ sign. For Outgoing Server, always ensure "Require sign-in" or "My outgoing server requires authentication" is enabled.

Configuring Microsoft Outlook

Works with New Outlook for Windows, Classic Outlook (2016 / 2019 / 2021 / 365), and Outlook for Mac.

1Add Account & Choose Manual Setup

Open Outlook, go to File > Add Account (or Settings > Accounts > Add account in New Outlook). Enter your full email address, choose Advanced options, check "Let me set up my account manually", and select IMAP.

2Incoming Server (IMAP)

  • Server: mail.pingdart.com
  • Port: 993
  • Encryption: SSL / TLS
  • Require logon using SPA: UNCHECKED (OFF)

3Outgoing Server (SMTP)

  • Server: mail.pingdart.com
  • Port: 587 (STARTTLS) or 465 (SSL/TLS)
  • Encryption: STARTTLS (or SSL/TLS for 465)
  • Authentication: Check "My outgoing server requires authentication" and select "Use same settings as incoming".

4Timezone Display Note

💡 Tip: If Outlook displays incoming emails in UTC (e.g. 5:17 AM instead of your local time), go to Settings ⚙️ > Calendar > View > Time zones and ensure your local time zone is selected.

How to Import Existing Emails

Transfer historical emails, folder structures, and archives from previous mail providers into PingDart.

Method 1: Direct in Microsoft Outlook (.pst)Open Outlook ➔ File ➔ Open & Export ➔ Import/Export ➔ "Import from another program or file" ➔ "Outlook Data File (.pst)" ➔ select your file and choose your PingDart account. Outlook will sync all emails to the server.
Method 2: One-Click Webmail MigrationLog in to PingDart Webmail ➔ Mail Settings ➔ Storage & Backup / Import ➔ Select Provider (Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) ➔ enter credentials and PingDart will automatically migrate everything in the background.

How to Restore Emails

Recover deleted emails, restore previous mailbox snapshots, or re-sync disconnected mailboxes.
